Owning land come with its limitations.
Your municipality, region and province has total control over what you can and cannot do with the land that you own (or looking to own). This control ranges to the zoning down to the bylaws – in simple terms – the type of buildings you can have on your property, type of business, if you can live on it, and daily rules.
Now, I am someone who appreciates knowing that most likely I won’t have an auto-body shop moving in next door to me – but it is an interesting concept to not have control over something you own.
Is there anything else besides land that you have full ownership over but not full control?
